Prediction for Primary on Tuesday
Obama wins Texas and Ohio. And somehow, let's suggest magic, he wins even more delegates than Clinton does. She drops out of the race after a large number of superdelegates began a rush to Obama just to put the race away and start focusing on the general.

Predictions: Large Hadron Collider
On par with my other predictions, I will make this one: The Large Hadron Collider will confirm the existence of the Higgs Boson, will confirm Technicolor (Higgs is not truly an elementary particle but is made up of other particles), and the LHC will have anti-time effects causing the creation of our universe.

Predictions of the Past.
http://deepbutter.blogspot.com/2006/06/after-al-gore-bill-clinton-takes.html
Bill Clinton, half-way through 2006, made the prediction that: “I don’t know if they’re overstating their reserves,” Clinton replied. He added that he expects oil prices will reach US$100 per barrel “in five years or less”.
-- Hm. One and a half years. That's kind of spooky.
PEAK OIL! PEAK OIL! PEAK OIL! PEAK OIL! PEAK OIL!
EEEEEEEEEECK.
Seriously though, we're kind of screwed on that front.

Iowa Caucus.
I have done a reasoned analysis, crunched the numbers, sensed the winds, viewed the future through the eyes of a cold calculation, looking at massive amounts of data in order to bring you a fantastic prediction about what the Iowa Caucus will bring.
John Edwards will win. His victory will swell the ground game and cause a domino effect sapping strength from the message of Obama (see message of Edwards) putting him into a head to head contest in the national race against Hillary Clinton for the nomination. He will win the nomination and choose Obama to be his running mate (Hillary will be Chief of Staff). A few months prior to the general election, Edwards' wife will tragically die of metastatic breast cancer. The Republicans will debate continuing on their negative message, and despite the fact that only a callous bastard would do such a thing they will continue. Romney's presidential bid will fail, not as a result (he was already down 20 points in the polls at this point anyhow) but it certainly didn't help. And Edwards will be elected with 64% of the vote, to Romney's 30%, with Ron Paul's independent campaign pulling in 7%.
What statistics suggest such a thing? How could I be this impressive with my tabulations of the future? Mostly, I pulled it out of my ass. Heck I had to look up the Iowa Caucus to know it was on the third. Of course I could just say that you have your math and I have THE MATH! -- But, only an ass would do such a thing. In all seriousness I hope Edwards wins the nod. Mostly because I want a slam dunk and kind of want the Dems to pick up several additional senate seats. Think Hillary-hate might drive out the vote on the Republican side, even in states where they stand no chance at winning, costing some minor races their wins. That said, she'd win the general. Heck Kucinich would win the general.
Here's another prediction two years out. The Governator becomes the Senatator defeating Boxer, and Vitter is sunk, both in 2010.

Prediction: Christian Gay Rights Movement
In the future, Christians will be arguing that Christianity was responsible for the success of the Gay Rights Movement (after it's successful).
Theology Non-Rule #9: Whenever there is a group of secular people supporting a cause and a few secular minded Christians in opposition to the more religious Bible believing Christians, if the secular group is shown to be correct this is a Christian victory for morality. This shows Christianity is just, tolerant, and the source of all morality.
In the past, it was common to find bigotry against gays for their sexual orientation and many people derided it as a "choice". However, some good and pious Christians stood up to this bigotry, and through a lot of struggle and hard work secured the rights of homosexuals. You see, without Christian love and tolerance, and the Christian understanding that all people are created equal in God's eyes this injustice would still exist today! Just as Christianity stood up against the supporters of slavery during the abolitionist movement and launched the civil rights movement, Christians are, through their faith in God and the expectations of the Almighty, compelled to fight injustice. - Faith head circa 2030.

My Phelps prediction.
I predict that Fred Phelps will appeal the civil judgment against him. I have it at $2.9 million, other people have $10.9 million. In either case Phelps is going to appeal and have it struck down in a heartbeat. He's going to counter sue for costs and win. This marine father who sued the church for protesting his son's funeral is going to be forced to go bankrupt for pushing this idiotic lawsuit.
Mark my words.

Optical Illusions and predictive minds.

Theory: The image is spinning counterclockwise. -- Predictions as to what a counterclockwise spin would look like are confirmed.
Theory: The image is spinning clockwise. -- Predictions as to what a clockwise spin would look like are confirmed.
So basically if you see the legs going behind or in front you'll predict one direction or another. The article that had it is suggested it right brain/left brainness which is kinda bs.
Minds are extremely predictive. We spend a lot of time intuiting what exactly is going to happen next. Constantly figuring this does this that does that. And in our minds inertia makes a lot of sense. So looking at the image knowing what's going to happen next is automatically guessed at and either guessed direction is confirmed.
The real interesting thing is how we guess directional spin without any conscious thought. We just glance and picture the spin. We can't view the image without this prediction. If you look toward the bottom of the screen or where you can't make out the human figure, you'll notice a black blob going back and forth.
Stare at her foot and imagine it going back and forth, if you can do that when ever you glance upwards your mind should stay with the last prediction and keep the directional spin.
