What good is space exploration? Shouldn't we spend money on more practical things.
This kind of argument is rather silly, as if detecting and predicting spaceweather isn't a useful thing to do. It might save us from letting all our electronics fry.
No. Sun spots do relate to increased heat. But the last few years have seen a lull in sun spots and some of the hottest years on record. The only explanation that explains the heating we are seeing and not only that predicted the heating would exists is that of antropogetic global warming.
The heat trapping pollution we are putting into the atmosphere is trapping heat and causing world wide temperatures to rise.
