Earth, the third rock...

About half the time (probably a bit less than half), Earth isn't third rock from the Sun.

Oh dear. I was thinking about pointing out all the asteroids that probably fling inside Earth orbit all the time but are largely ignored. But, damn that rock throwing in the air is fun one.

The less than half was just that the moon revolves as the earth revolves and should end up on the sun side more than on the other side.

Yeah, the more I consider it the more I figure the Earth is rarely if ever the third rock from the sun.
