Finally died of AIDS. She was a mainstay of HIV denial and managed to kill her daughter by doing everything right to infect her with the virus and not allowing anybody to treat her. Well, apparently Christine Maggiore's immune system mysteriously collapsed and she died.
It's a pity when people die, but I'm also a firm believer in euthanasia. If you want to die to the stupid, I will not object. Witnesses can refuse transfusions and Christian Scientists can let that appendix burst. My only objection is when you kill others with your stupid, like Maggiore did with her daughter.

Wow, quite a story in that link. I wasn't aware that AIDS denial was such an issue (or even occured).
Don't know all the facts, but have to agree, If she made a rational choice that affected only her life, fine, but when it affects children (or the health of others)it gets more disturbing.
I wonder what the outcome of the lawsuit against the childs coroner's report will be?

Red, you're so far away from America you're just going to get astounded over and over again at how much stupid we can manage.
Sure it's a virus specifically coded to exploit the CD4 receptors and sure CD4 receptors are coating the T-cells and sure destroying all the T-cells would cause a collapse of the immune system... but if you have HIV and you're scared of dying and somebody who sounds legit is saying you don't have too... you might just convert to Christianity or become a denilist.
We manage our own stupid too, most of it probably never gets enough media coverage to get noticed on your side of the pond, and although many Brits find these US stories amusing (In terms of the level of stupid), I think we quietly understand that we manage it on the same level, we just don't like people knowing about it.(International snobbery if you like).

Thankfully in this debate of who can be stupidier I have a few trump cards. Ah, this one will do: Creation Museum!
I win.
Well, we have an imitation on the south coast, however by all acounts it's made up of 6 display cabinets, not the multi-billion dollar animatronic fantasy land that you have, so yeah, I'll give you that one.
We do however produce individuals of a similar calibre (Although with your greater population you will of course end up with a greater number), Exhibit B: Mr David Icke. However, I acknowledge in advance that for every 1 of these I produce, you will have a full-house (All part of the Raelian conspiarcy though! ;) ).

David Icke is a good counter. But, I contend that he's entirely sane and has uncovered the lizard man conspiracy and you're simply too blind to see it.
I love that you gave me a link, as if I don't already know who he is...
Oh, I counter with Kent Hovind (I can go toe to toe with just Creationists).
[Frowns. Ah, the classic Kent Hovind counter-response. This is going to take a Mornington-Crescent style double bluff to beat! Keep staring straight ahead.]
Damn, your right, I cannot compete with your apparently unlimited creationist supply. OK, try this for size [chuckles].
As posted on Pharyngula today, the town of Glastonbury (No link), WiFi and Orgone.

And with an almost Biblical sense of timing, up pops Stephen Green of the UK pressure group "Christian Voice" attempting to get the Atheist Bus adverts pulled (His complaint's about the Jerry Springer musical helped to get the UK Blasphemy Laws scrapped - Doh!). He's about as effective as Abstinence only Sex Ed, but a prime example of British stupid.

Pat Robertson, Kirk Cameron, and for kicks Ted "you can't put my sexuality in a box" Haggard.
My stupidity oozes out of every pore. Whereas even as compelling as the stupid your provide is... it still remains stupid in an English accents and sounds smart.
Hey, thats a plan I can live with.
(And thus the UK:US special relationship [Stupidity section] was assured).
